A sign that there is something you still want to say. If no blows landed and only words passed, it means you are in fact still at the stage of speaking. If you remember who you argued with, look at that relationship alongside.
Being struck without being able to strike back
It means you are being held down, so look for a place where you have only been enduring. Tradition too read such a dream as a time when your strength has thinned, and told you to rest. It is also a scene that comes often when the body is tired.
A fighting dream does not foretell a quarrel in waking life, however fierce the feeling in it. It is closer to a sign to notice what you have been holding down. We would not advise squaring up to anyone on the strength of it.
